Clean books. Clear numbers. Confident decisions.
Disorganised books cost more than time. They hide cash flow problems, create BAS stress and make it impossible to plan with confidence. Our bookkeeping services in Brisbane keep your finances structured, accurate and up to date, every week of the year.
Because our bookkeepers work alongside our tax and advisory team, your records are always lodgement-ready and decision-ready. As a Xero Platinum Partner, we also make sure your systems are set up to save you time.

The problem
What this usually looks like
The ATO is always one step ahead of you
A BAS is due before the last one is reconciled. Letters arrive about periods you thought were finished. You are responding rather than planning, every quarter.
You are busier than ever and cannot prove you are making money
The work is there and the bank balance is not. Nobody can tell you which jobs made money, so you keep quoting the same way and hoping.
Your accountant only exists in October
One meeting a year, a tax return, an invoice. By the time anyone looks at the numbers, the year is closed and nothing can be changed.

Why Xcel for bookkeeping
-
Chartered Accountant oversight: your books are reviewed by qualified accountants, not just processed.
-
Xero Platinum Partner: deep Xero expertise and a well-built system.
-
Fixed monthly fees: no surprise bills for emails or phone calls.
-
The foundation for growth: clean data makes better tax outcomes and better decisions possible.
Payroll
Payday Super is here. Is your payroll ready?
Since 1 July 2026, super must reach your employees’ funds within seven business days of every payday, not at the end of the quarter. The ATO’s Small Business Superannuation Clearing House has also closed, so businesses that relied on it need a new way to pay.
That means your pay run and your super now hit your cash flow in the same week. We take care of both: processing your pay run, lodging Single Touch Payroll, paying super on time through a compliant clearing solution.
Catch up
Catch up bookkeeping when you are behind
Whatever state your books are in, we can bring them up to date
Years of unreconciled transactions, missing receipts, a Xero file untouched since setup, overdue BAS. It happens more often than you’d think, and it’s always fixable.
We bring your books up to date, work out exactly what’s owed, and deal with the ATO on your behalf, from lodging overdue BAS to negotiating payment arrangements. Then we keep you on track so it doesn’t happen again.

Xero Platinum Partner
What Xero Platinum Partner means for you
Platinum is one of Xero’s highest partner tiers. It’s earned through the number of client subscriptions a firm manages, and status is reviewed regularly, so it has to be maintained, not just achieved once. For you, it means the team handling your file works in Xero every day, not once a quarter.
In practice, that means a file set up properly from the start, bank feeds that reconcile, the right add-ons for your industry, and direct access to Xero partner support when something needs escalating. We’ll also train whoever in your business handles invoicing, so your records stay clean between our monthly meetings.

Questions
Questions we get about bookkeeping and payroll
How much does bookkeeping cost?
We charge a fixed monthly fee based on your transaction volume, payroll size and reporting needs. We’ll give you a clear quote after your free consultation.
My books are months behind. Can you help?
Yes. We regularly complete catch-up work and bring books back to lodgement-ready condition before moving to an ongoing routine.
Do I need to use Xero?
We recommend Xero and can migrate you from MYOB, QuickBooks or spreadsheets. Talk to us if you’re on another platform.
Will I still have visibility of my finances?
Always. You keep full access to Xero, receive regular reports and meet with us monthly to walk through them..
Do I need a bookkeeper or an accountant?
Most businesses your size need both, and that is usually the problem. The bookkeeper keeps the file current, the accountant lodges the return, and neither of them owns the gap in between. At Xcel both sit in the same team on the same file, for one fixed monthly fee, so nothing falls through the middle.
