Tax planning
Your tax result is decided before 30 June
Most of what can change a business tax result has to be decided before 30 June. Timing of income and expenditure, asset purchases, superannuation, dividend and trust distributions, and how profit moves through the structure.
We review the position with you in the third quarter, model the result, and agree what to do while it can still be done. In October we lodge a return you already understand.
Structure
Structure and corporate compliance
The structure that worked when you were a sole trader with two staff rarely suits a company with twenty, a licence to protect and assets that need safeguarding. We review your current setup, map it out clearly and tell you honestly whether it still fits, and what to change if it doesn’t.
Day to day, we take care of your corporate compliance: registered office, ASIC annual reviews, officeholder and shareholding changes, minutes and company registers. Everything stays current, so nothing lapses while you’re busy running the business.

The offer
The free 15-minute consultation

You’ll walk away knowing what’s outstanding, what needs attention first and what it would take to get your business back on track. The advice is yours to keep whether you work with us or not, with no sales pitch and no obligation.

Questions
Questions we get about business tax and compliance
Is tax planning part of the monthly fee?
Yes, for clients on an ongoing engagement. We look at the position before year end while decisions can still be made, not in October when the year is closed.
How hard is it to switch accountants?
Easier than most people expect. Once you’ve signed on, we contact your previous accountant for your records and update your tax agent details with the ATO. You don’t need to have an awkward conversation.
Are you a registered tax agent?
Yes. Registered Tax Agent 26230491, and Chartered Accountants ANZ. You can verify both before you call us.
Can you take over ASIC compliance?
Yes. Registered office, annual review, officeholder and share changes and the corporate register are handled by us so nothing lapses.
Do I get more time to lodge if I use a registered tax agent?
In most cases, yes. Clients on a registered tax agent’s lodgement program generally have later due dates than those who lodge themselves, though we’ll always recommend lodging early when there’s a refund or planning benefit.
Can you manage tax for my company, trust and personal returns together?
Yes. We look after the whole group, which means distributions, dividends and personal tax are planned together rather than in isolation.
Get in front of the next deadline
Fifteen minutes with a Chartered Accountant, no cost and no pitch. We go through what is lodged, what is outstanding, and what needs dealing with first.
138 Juliette Street, Greenslopes QLD 4120. Open 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
